not sure how, but it reminded me of some old john wayne movies

probably the horses, guns, and indians. really hit me when he was riding his horse across that open field and shot that indian beside him. LINK

Trailer didn't give away anything about the plot really and no dialogue so people are upset, but with the people involved, I have little doubt this is going to be a good movie at worst.

Are people that fricking stupid that they need everything spelled out to them in the damn trailer??

But is this going to be a memorable Leo performance and movie like we've seen so often over the past decade? Probably not. Just doesn't seem to have the plot.

Based on what?! Sounds like a great plot to me.

Read up on the true story on which the movie is based. It's one of the most remarkable survival stories in American history.

I'd gladly watch a dialogue-free version of that movie if they released it that way.

Movie looks like it will absolutely transport you to that time and place.

Yeah, the cinematography looks awesome.

I've never seen a fight on horseback shot that way. Amazing.

That's why I loved The New World by T. Malick. It just transports you there. Didn't have that much dialogue.

Exactly. I've enjoyed all of his films that I've seen. Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel were all really good. Haven't seen Biutiful yet.

I don't get the hate. This looks like a more than welcome journey back to incredible "nature" movies like Last of the Mohicans, A River Runs Through It, Legends of the Fall, and Dances with Wolves (to name just a few)

This is the exact kind of movie that has "classic" written all over it.

I'm excited.
