I’m one of the biggest Luka fans on the board, but this is hilarious.

The Mavs will do anything/everything to avoid Luka being matched up against Zion.

Larry Johnson could shoot long jumpers off the dribble.
So far Zion is not the outside threat. Catch and shoot some. When he is a more complete shooter he will be top few, maybe tops.
He was doing more right before injury.
Zion is going to be a better defender if he understands how to block and control. So far not. Zion ceiling is all time.
Grandmama is not best all time.
He's barely in my top 5 pf.

Timmie
McHale
Terry Cummings
Rasheed Wallace
Ljohnson/Barkley

Most people remember LJ’s career with the Knicks after the back injury robbed him of his athleticism. Young LJ with Zo, Mugsy, and Dell Curry on the Hornets was much more like Zion

So do you just have Karl Malone/Bob Pettit/Nowitzki/KG/Elvin Hayes as centers? I mean Terry had a great career up until 30, but Sheed and ESPECIALLY Johnson is nowhere near top 5 PF all time?

he's right at 30% on the year, which is not great, agreed. But it's still better than I anticipated. His HS highlights were basically just him dunking. So to see him pull up and hit shots, I was surprised. Obviously a lot of room for improvement.

I owned a pair of LJs as a kid.

He’s not a top 5 PF of all time. Not top 10.

Never made an All-NBA team, back injury lowered his ceiling.
Talent and athleticism? Gobs of it.
Totality of career? frick no.

Chris Webber was also better than him.

I enjoyed Rasheed.

There was so little NBA on TV when petit played I thought he was a center.

I can't your list isn't better.

Zion's Defense & Rebounding potential far exceeds his offensive potential. Hopefully he ends up on a team that realizes that.

I would much much rather have him be Ben Wallace with the offense of Nene than end up being a better Julius Randle(aka Larry Johnson)

Imho:
He's already at ben Wallace d and boards level. A+
His offense is all potential. Words, words.

Sorry for the off topic post, but any word on Zion coming back for Tuesday night against Wake Forest? I just found out I have to be in Raleigh for work on Wednesday so I'm going to go to Durham a day early. Just scored tickets almost at mid court across from the student section.

I have never saw Randle dunk on anyone or block a shot

No he's not he spends waaaaaay too much time on the perimeter offensively. He only put up a sorry 5 rebounds against UVA

I would say there’s a good chance. The word on Duke boards as been that Zion comes back on Saturday against Miami for almost a week now.

Duke has announced Zion has been out for the last two games at least 24 hours before tip-off for both Cuse and VT. I guess 3:00 today is the magic hour to look for a very strong hint about the Miami game.

Ok. I figure he wants to be seen as well rounded but I'm supposing he can do all the rebounding and defense if called upon in the pros.
