Would've liked to have seen that game with West Monroe having Tramissian Davis. He tore his ACL in the semifinals. That forced WM to start a sophomore at TB and completely changed their offense. They pitched the ball on the option ONCE the entire night. Davis played at Tech and was on the Saints' practice squad for several seasons. To lose him was a massive blow.

Don't remember the score or even if it was a good game, but remember going to Broadmoor vs John Curtis playoff game in 1998 at BHS field.
I know Curtis was #1 and BHS was in Top #5 (we actually had some good teams the 4 years I was there, didn't play football, just baseball and basketball, but went to all the games)
Anyway, I just remember Johnathon Wells going beast mode all over our defense. Remember it was a fun game to watch with the atmosphere and hype.
Sad now that I moved back and drove by BHS field one Friday night and probaly had 25 people in the stands.

Wasn't there some epic match up of two West Bank teams in the 80s? Ehret against ?
West Jeff with Gary James, I was to young to go to that one, but everyone was talking about it.
it was epic.

I only recall one game and it was before I was at school there, Jesuit against St Aug in the dome in 77 I think. Couldn't tell you the score but I had fun.

Thought 1981 was first time the Dome was used?

It wasn't the state championship. Just a game played in the dome.

1978 State title game for AAAA was in the dome, which is where the idea for all the games to be in dome came from. Jesuit and St. Aug reportedly drew 44k.

Haven't seen many playoff games in my time.
One regular season game comes to mind.
2000- S.Lafourche vs Destrehan. 13-14 Destrehan won. I wanna say a kid named Fred Smith who was a freshman had a ridiculous TD catch and the other Destrehan TD was on a 90+ yard fumble recovery. Some real good defense in that game is really what stood out.

Yeah I lived in New Orleans east at the time and remember getting home and wwl tv was showing the replay and it was clear it was good. Just made the victory the next year sweeter.

Mine would have to be the 1989 Ruston vs Brother Martin game. Final score was 59-56 Brother Martin.

One of the best ones for me has to have been St. Amant vs EA in 2011. The stadium was packed beyond capacity for 2 teams that weren't even going to the playoffs. The game was a back and forth defensive struggle, with both teams giving all they had. The game went to over time where, unfortunately, the Spartans came away with the victory. It was a real nail biter.

Of course I'm gonna be a little biased but the best was 2011 my junior year when we beat John Diarse, Hootie Jones and Neville in triple OT. By far the most physical game I ever played in.
