Clemson and Northwestern shouldn't be used in the same breath when the word academics is used. Likewise with a lot of other schools. Don't get me wrong. It's a good school but it's no Northwestern academically.

I understand the title is pretty black and white; "players arrested", but that's so damn misleading.

In the state of GA you can be arrested, like actually handcuffed and jailed, for not having a valid drivers license. So many of our player's infractions over the last 2 decades have been for not having a valid license, jaywalking (yes, I'm serious), driving a moped the wrong way down a 200' stretch of 1 way on campus, giving a false name when questioned about a fireworks incident, shooting BB guns at a fridge in the dorm room, backing into a parked car in a parking garage and leaving, etc.

If you could break this down by actual bad stuff (theft, assault, DUI, etc) it would look far different.

Never did I mean to insinuate that the academics themselves were similar. Northwestern is faaaar superior. I just meant based on graduation rates.

It's very, very hard to run a clean program. College sports has very much become an arms race with programs and local/state governments doing whatever they can to keep up.

BYU is clean is as a whistle off the field - they don't just put up a front about that...they really walk that walk.

But, damn, they have got to be one of the dirtiest programs in the sport actually on the field. They've been like that for a decade or more, and only in recent years did people start to notice.

20 for WVU in 5 years

You have to be going out your way to get arrested in morgantown

like one of my fraternity brothers got blacked out and stole a cop car and still just did a night in jail.

Not even close. Academy football players are some wicked bad mofos when it comes to everything from drugs to rape to assault to pedophilia and PED's. Trust Me.
