The Mixon conversation /fallout, Army possibly being implicated in the Wake Forest issue. I wondered what programs have the fewest incidents, run a clean program.
its easy to find the bad actors
LINK /
but id like to see someone dig deep enough and give credit to the one that act right. Graducation rates/ low NCAA complaints, violations/ off the field issues .

You would have to think BYU is clean. I mean they suspended their best player in basketball during the tournament for having sex.

Pretty sure Vandy and LSU are the "cleanest" in the SEC in terms of major infractions

but what if we limited to schools that played football
?
Rice is clean, the last incident with football was 4 -ish years ago the kid that picked up his dad's shotgun from being repaired to take it home fro Christmas break and brought it to his room as opposed to leaving it in the car.
But as long as you only punish schools caught, you encourage cover-ups. If you reward good behavior the way they've started rewarding graduation rates. Then the programs have a reason to stay clean

Apparently you didn't understand the question in OP

It was actually during the regular season. Even though they only lost a few games the rest of the way, that dismissal cost them their reg. season title, and a shot at the conference tournament title.

What is ethical and what do you really know?
Youre jumping to conclusions with ethical by using some often b.s. Metrics.
Because Penn State would be #1 by your standards for the last 50 years!!!!!!
#1

I want to say it's the Wall Street Journal that ranks programs on a grid relative to how good they are on the field and off the field. Clemson is always about as high in each as you can be.
-We're typically behind only teams like Stanford, Notre Dame, and maybe a Northwestern as far as academics.
-Can't really remember any player having any sort of off-the-field violent incident or being arrested for something like that. We have two players recently (Sammy Watkins and Deon Cain) caught with weed, and Dabo came down much harder than most. He suspended each for two games, and they weren't against cupcakes. Watkins was suspended for an opening season game against Auburn, and Cain was suspended for both playoff games.
-Dabo doesn't take the rehabilitation projects. Not saying that a player can't turn around his imagine and succeed elsewhere, but they won't do it at Clemson; Dabo doesn't touch JUCO's. I actually don't remember the last time we even signed one.
-Dabo is also super into religion and church for those who eat that stuff up when it comes to ethics.
-Not a single major infraction under Dabo's watch (knocking on wood as I type this lol).
As far as balancing success and morals, I'd say Dabo does it about as well as possible.

Running back Austin Scott, who leads the team with six touchdowns, was ordered to stand trial on felony rape and sexual assault charges after a preliminary hearing on Wednesday. He plans to plead not guilty before his Nov. 15 arraignment, according to Scott's attorney, Joseph Amendola. Jury selection for the trial is scheduled for early February. Two charges of aggravated indecent assault were withdrawn
From Oct. 5 to 7, there were four incidents involving players, including two underage drinking arrests, another campus fight involving players still being investigated, and then the alleged rape at Scott's apartment. During the same time, news of Paterno's verbal run-in with a female driver and her husband on campus also gained widespread attention.
In April, after an off-campus brawl involving several players in which starting safety Anthony Scirrotto and reserve defensive tackle Chris Baker are awaiting trial, Paterno decided to discipline his entire team by making them clean up a sections of Beaver Stadium on Sunday mornings after home games.
these are off the field violations, had nothing to do with the cover up,, furthermore if the was real reward to running a clean program and it was enforced then there would/could be a shift in behavior from the programs

Is that really ethical in today's world though?

All joking aside, among the perennial top programs LSU has historically been as clean as anyone.
