ISU got fricking hosed.
If it was ruled down by forward progress, there's no review, nobody has anything to bitch about..but, he was ruled DOWN. ISU clearly stripped that ball and should have gotten a TD off of the play, but they got robbed.
Oh, and I'll just leave this little gem here that Mack Brown defended.

Go to the shaggy bevo site even the tsippers were saying that it was a bad call. But they were hoping that ut lost so Brown would get the Kiffen treatment.

It was not just that call. How many 1st downs did Texas get in the second half from penalties? Texas gained about 120 yards from Iowa State penalties.

Yeah. It wasn't just that call. It was the entire last drive. It seemed clear the refs were going to keep them in the game.
The PI that moved the ball close to the endzone coincided with a pretty blatant hold by a Texas Olineman. They did call the PI. Not the hold.
It was far from the worst screw job I've seen in the Big 12. And as I said a couple of times last night, UTa has a bunch more losses on their schedule ahead.

2. forward progress, to me, had been stopped
3. by what the refs called, ISU was robbed
Its horrible if you're an ISU fan but looking at this objectively the play was dead.
Finally, this is all moot since Oklahoma is going to run a train on texas unless Buttertooth gets some intervention from the man upstairs himself.

They didn't call it dead or down due to forward progress being stopped. He was ruled down by contact on the field.
