Holy crap this dude is a moron, taking up for Kaepernick and bashing Finebaum for saying that what legit reason did Kaep have for doing this, and Galloway is like oh he didnt have a legit reason BLAH BLAH BLAH. Jump off a cliff...

If social media is to be trusted, almost all of the black people I know feel this country is out to get them in some form or fashion. This ranges from acquaintances at old jobs through guys I grew up with that went to good colleges and have very nice lives. If it isn't a race wide issue, they're doing a good job of fooling me.

I mean, duh.

Btw, Spears stuck up for Kaep harder than I've seen anybody stick up for him so far.

Spears stood up for CK's right to protest. He said, loud & clear, that he disagreed with both the message & the format in which it was delivered. I heard his whole monologue and I never felt he was sticking up for CK beyond recognizing his right to protest. Jones, Hill, Jabar, Galloway, Greenberg, Golic, on the other hand, have all been ranting about the racism involved in criticizing CK in any fashion. Course, Jones also said in a tweet response that racism is behind all the single moms in the Black community. i.e. black males are not the problem.

I don't mean to argue with you about this, but I must have heard a different monologue than you. He said he stands because black people die for the country and he believes in standing, but he said THE REASONS that Kaep did it absolutely need to be addressed in this country and I'm fairly certain he agreed 100% with Kaep, but wish he would have protested in a different way. Think he also said the change needs to happen and acts similar to this are what creates change.

I'm pretty damn sure that's what I heard.

You nailed it on the head. I've been absolutely blindsided at some of the stupidity I've heard from people I thought I respected. The last couple months has been a real eye opener into just how lost their culture really is.
