Cosmo I believe youre right, I am just saying that would be parameters.

I teach school so I probably wouldnt be able to select but I would like to try.

AGAIN I WILL NOT ADMINISTRATE. But if it gets going, yeah Ill try it.

Honestly, what's wrong with that? A long standing all-time draft wouldbe a great off-season project. I do think you should have the ability to email the administrator with several picks when you're in the queue. That's what I did in the draft. Gave a list of three or four players I wanted, and the order in which to select.

Not a bad idea. I just don't think that just any posters should be allowed.

They have to be someone that posts on the MSB at least somewhat regularly.

Who wants to head it up?

It's not happening brah.

You need to have a group of 5-10 solid posters that are here every day and take two hours or so and knock out a round a day.

It would make it much more fun to spectate because it would flow along MUCH better.

But y'all do it how you want.

Your screen name needs to be Debbie Downer, broquema.

We should keep it to a small number of drafters though. At least 5 but no more than 10 imo. I'm down for doing one and can commit to doing it. If I miss a pick, I'll just throw my pick(s) up whenever I can. No biggie.

I think 8-12 teams is a good way to do it. Maybe pair posters up if we want more people involved. Having a dual GM might help to move things along if one is offline when the pick comes up.

If this goes down, I know I get first pick (since I started the fricking thread) and Sammy Baugh is my first pick, you guys figure out parameters and I will give the second pick when it is time.

I signed Sammy to a 6 year deal with incentives and options last night.

You should have traded down and could have taken him in the 3rd round

You don't think it could work; I think it will if the right number of committed people get involved. As long as people take it as a fun little project of sorts, yet care enough to contribute, I can see no harm in doing so.

Hell we could do this bad boy on separate weekends. Since football season is over and people will have more sparetime, maybe we could knock out a few rounds each weekend and over the course of 3-5 weekends, we can fill our rosters out.

I said the way this is going right now, with people I've never heard of signed up in the OP with people throwing their name in the hat isn't working.

I gave a suggestion of how it could work and your 2nded it.

Nope I did a Chicago Bears-Mark Carrier type of deal, I knew he would sign if I picked him, plus I wanted to make sure I set the market low because his agent was Leigh Steinberg (collusion at it's best)...if he throws for X td,s he gets Kodiak, if he throws for Y TD's he gets Copenhagen, if he plays for Z ammount of plays and Y TD's he gets plug of Redman and a new golf hat.

I'd be interested in this.

We could just do a round every couple of days. Everyone checks in each evening and makes the pick when it's their turn.

I wouldn't mind either setting the team limit or pairing posters, bc we don't wana have 150 teams lol... And I wanna figure out a day/time that would be good for everyone bc this will be a fun thing to do. The weekends seem to work for most

I'm done for say 4 or 5 rounds on Saturday and then on Sunday. Maybe have a midweek round or two as well. How big are we going to make the rosters? Are we going to stop at say 40 or go to the full 53? I believe we should also set a couple of rules such as filling out the roster before you position stack - ie you can't take 3 MLBS before you have cornerback, etc. You can only draft a player for a position that he has played in either College or Pros. For example, I can draft Jon Beason to play OLB, since he has played OLB in CFB and the NFL, however I can't draft him to play DE or safety. You could draft a guy like DeMarcus Ware to be an OLB or a DE since he has played both in either CFB or the NFL.

What does everyone think about that?

22 man roster, starters only.
Offense, defense, and no special teams.
