While he's probably not the worst, Jim Plunkett deserves mention for being a guy that stayed around in the league forever despite being even less than average.

That should count for something in the worst of all time. Sustained suckage.

eta: yes, i know he won a SB and was SB MVP, but he was basically Trent Dilfer before Trent Dilfer was...

Speaking of Trent Dilfer...

Todd Collins is the worst QB to have played 11 seasons in the league, I'll tell you that.

I'm no Plunkett fan but to call him a failure is silly

His career is actually a great perseverance story

Ok...here is what I think this thread was meant to be.

Worst QB ever? Bob Avellini, Chicago Bears, 1975-1984.

Avellini had a lifetime QB rating of 54.8. He threw 33 TD's and 69 INT's. He audibled into an INT in a game in 1984 and Ditka could be seen on the sideline telling "Have a weenie" that he would "never play for me again". Ditka indeed cut him 2 days later. He sucked.

Did Reggie Ball ever take a single snap from the QB position?

Assumng we are talking about those who have started and not due to injuries to the 1st and 2nd string QB's, how any other names other than Jamarcus and Leaf are included is beyond comprehension

Wouldn't say the worst but Chris Weinkie was pretty bad. 15 TDs and 26 INTs. Was the starter for Panthers during their 1-15 season and was the backup ever since. (now retired I believe)

People who are posting guys that had careers which spanned multiple years and threw some TD passes and actually had wins.....I mean come on. This thread is asking for the WORST

Leaf was in a class by himself...he made Jamarcus look like Joe Montana.

And Leinart deserves dishonorable mention. Fewer career touchdowns than Jamarcus in spite of having three elite receivers as targets.
