World Series Gm 1: Cubs 0 Indians 6 | Final | CLE leads 1-0

The Cubs and Indians meet tonight in Cleveland for Game 1 of the World Series. Jon Lester (19-5, 2.44) will get the ball for Chicago. Cleveland will send out Corey Kluber (18-9, 3.14). Should be a great series, with one team getting their first championship in a long time. Go Cubs Go!!!

I have a bit of optimism in regards to Lester stopping their running game. He's been lights out with runners on all of the second half and in the postseason, I'm going to hold out hope that the Indians running game doesn't affect his mindset or pitches.

Corey Kluber threw twice against LSU while he was at Stetson. In 2006 he went 4.1 innings giving up 6 earned. Walked 4 and K'd 3. Gave up homers to Nick Pontiff, Jordan Mayer, and Quinn Stewart.
In 2007 he beat fellow future MLBer Charlie Furbush by going 6.2 innings with 9 Ks. Walked 2 and gave up one earned.
Safe to say he improved from 2006 to 2007, and has continued to get better.

That's why all the pressure is on Cleveland to win tonight. Cubs get a 1-1 split they may not come back to Cleveland for Game 6
