Larry Bird has a game where he had 30 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and 9 steals in 33 minutes.

quote:

Bird sat out the entire fourth quarter. After playing the third quarter, head coach K. C. Jones informed Bird that he was one steal away from a quadruple-double and asked if he wanted to stay in the game. Bird declined, saying that he "already did enough damage."

Lebron is the only one I see having a chance at it.

MJ could do it if he came back and played 10 minutes a game.

I'd say Rondo too. Rondo seems to have a shite ton of triple doubles. On a special night i'd imagine he could do the steals as well.

CP3 was a couple of steals (or maybe rebounds) away from it a time or two.

Didn't Duncan come close to a quadruple double in the Finals clincher vs New Jersey?

ETA: 21 pts 20 boards 10 assists 8 blocks

I would put my money on Paul or Javale McGee as the next player to do it.

It's still rare, but for some reason, doing it with blocks is less impressive to me.

I read the names way too fast when I first glanced at it and instead of Nate Thurmond and Alvin Robertson, I read it as Nate Robinson. Then I saw the 12 blocks and had to do a double check.

yeah. But I do wonder how many triple and quadruple doubles Chamberlain and Russell had since blocks weren't recorded then.
