They were talking on the Astros broadcast about Frank Robinson getting a HR in his 1st game as a player/manager and it got me thinking will we ever see another one? In this day and age of baseball I don't think we'll ever seen on again plus what owner would take that risk. Besides there are not many players right now you'd say he'd be a great manager.

Yadiar Molina
Jason Giambi last year was almost hired
Smoltz mentioned Wainwright and other guy said Tori Hunter

He'd have to be a role player with diminishing skills and is honest with himself when it comes to what he still has left in the tank.

Supposedly, Paul Konerko was a serious candidate for the White Sox job and they hired Ventura instead. I think it would be pretty sweet.

I think it would be really cool but I don't think it will happen again for a very, very long time if ever

I bet David Wright would take the Mets further than Terry Collins.

LeBron is the player/coach in Cleveland now. It could happen (officially) in baseball.
