Can't imagine the franchise recovering from this embarrassment. Losing season is probably incoming

No. But they were absolutely rolling into playoffs. They were hot as about any team I've seen in years through the playoffs. It's going to be hard as hell to recreate that. Quinn is a damn good coach though.

Our biggest problem next season is the schedule is just impossibly tough. I would be shocked if we made it back to the playoffs

Everybody laughed when we said the Panthers would be lucky to make the playoffs this year

Took the franchise 42 years to get their first back-to-back winning seasons in '09.

This was a soul crushing loss, no doubt. Will be interesting to see how they react.

Rationally, they will be good. But not Super Bowl good. Like someone else said, they were New York Giants caliber hot headed into the playoffs.

I also think because of that, some of their success will dwindle, especially on defense. And they stayed mostly healthy this season. It's really hard to replicate, ask the Panthers.

They won't have a losing season, but a run like this year seems unlikely. Just realistically.

Also the loss of Shannhan will hurt ALOT. As much as I hate to admit it, he's a fantastic offensive mind and one hell of a coach.

This is the kind of loss that leads to a team not giving a frick the next year

$100 bucks says they don't make the playoffs next year. And I told my buddy the pats were gonna win as soon as Blank left the box and went on to the sideline. Sent the wrong message to the players. They assumed they had it in the bag.

Matt Ryan was a joke until Shanahan showed up and now he's gone.

Gabriel and Sanu aren't having years like this again next year.

They also had some older vets play lights out down the stretch like Freeny, Babineaux and Jackson.

That coupled with the loss of Shannahan will cripple the Falcons next year. But they will be formidable as long as they build around their core. But they will lose some of those top young guns eventually like Coleman or Freeman, maybe Vic Beasley if he wants a large payday.

They also have to dish out a ton of $$ to their MVP
