Will SVP join Barstool when his ESPN contract expires?

He's the only talent ESPN has. SVP is a self proclaimed barstool fan (especially of PMT). Only question is whether or not barstool can afford him.

God I hope not. He's the only bastion of hope for anyone wishing ESPN can return to early-mid 2000's form.

All about the benjamins.

Is he really a content producer though? I don't know what use a studio host would be to them.

Nah. I think he enjoys being the beacon of light on ESPN.

I'm hoping espn dies in a fire and that someone else can make a comparable channel and site.

But that begs the next obvious question : how much longer until barstool launches it's own "network" ? The days of needing the big guns like ESPN, fox, etc are over. They can launch an internet channel and their whole base will be able to access it from their smart TV's and what not

Of course not.
He'll follow any reasonable amount of money, which pretty much eliminates Barstool.

Fox needs to swoop in and buy Bar Stool and SVP.
Give it another run.

Barstool has already been purchased by the Chernin Group. They have capital

How much video content do they have?

ESPN was losing ratings staying true to that format. It's never coming back as you remember it

They have "behind the scenes" content but no real "show" content. That would obviously be a huge step to take for barstool but I imagine they hope to get there one day

ESPN has more than SVP
John Anderson is good, Max Bretos is under used and wasted.

If they have no video content, they have a long long way before they have their own "network" or "channel."
They need to stick with podcasting.

How much would this Barstool pay him? I'm pretty sure SVP is raking in the cash, too much to leave on the table.

Didn't he sign a 10 year deal in 2015?
Posted on 10/23/17 at 4:05 pm to Captain Crackysack
I think he really enjoys ESPN. Don't see him making that move barring more cuts that involve him
Posted on 10/23/17 at 4:07 pm to StrongBackWeakMind
I assume you don't have to run 24 hour content on an internet channel
