If Stanford wins out they are in. If Utah wins out they are in. There goes one spot. If LSU wins out they are in. If Bama wins out they are in. Spot number 2. If Ohio State or Michigan State win out, they are in. Spot 3. If Clemson wins out, they are in. Spot 4.
1. There is no chance in hell all of those teams win out
2. What makes Ohio State or Michigan State's schedules stronger than a Big 12 champion?

I have to disagree with you there.
Change it to TCU and I agree

But an undefeated Big 12 team will not be left out this yea
If Utah, Clemson/FSU, Mich St/OSU, and LSU stay undefeated they will. Hell if Bama has one loss they may hop an undefeated Big12 team.

Oklahoma and TCU still have a shot to make it with 1 loss.
No way in hell over undefeated teams in another conference.

Mich St/OSU
How do these two teams have stronger SOS than an undefeated Big 12 champ not named Baylor?

Nothing. But the committee has stated their top determination for the playoff is conference championships. Only one conference doesnt have a championship game.

conference championships
CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES. Aka winning the conference title.
Not playing in and winning conference championship games.
Good grief.

A round robin gives you a far superior champion than a 2 division format does. But you're right the "playoff committee" is probably to stupid to see that.

Not sure why. They play 9 identical opponents (conference games plus SMU), an FCS school and each other. The only difference is Baylor played Rice while TCU played Minnesota. It's not major because the Gophers aren't really good this year.

Well, that's irrelevant.
The issue last year was that the Big XII said it would recognize two champs. So if they had a conference championship game, obviously that isn't a problem.
If the Big XII produces and undefeated conference champion this season, that team will still get credit from the committee for being a conference champion.

Big 12 was #4 last year in the computers. Only ahead of the ACC, but the ACC produced the only undefeated champ. So the Big 12 was last in the 1-loss champ rankings according to computers.
1. SEC West
2. PAC-12 South
3. SEC East
4. Big 12
They were #2.5 at worst. To be more accurate, Bama was the only team that got in that was in a conference/division ahead of the Big 12.

TCU and Oklahoma will have better SOS this year than the Big 10 East champ unless that team is Michigan.
Again, according to who? Meaningless metrics are meaningless.

BYU - Has a great fanbase and worthy facilities.
Cincinnati - Legit fanbase with recently upgraded and expanded stadium.
Colorado State - Building a brand new on campus stadium. Committing to its athletics.
Houston - Brand new on campus stadium.
All 4 have upsides to joining the Big 12.

Assuming that Big 12 champion is Baylor, they both did play a P5 school in the nonconference unlike Baylor.

So that tough win over Pitt or Duke is going to bump Clemson over the top?

We'd skip 3 and go straight to World War 4 if that happened.

You keep saying this but give no proof whatsoever. And the only example we have right now says the exact opposite.

I already said I agree that undefeated Clemson belongs in over undefeated Baylor, but the 13 games vs. 12 games argument is fricking retarded.
What if a team plays 12 games and beats 6 Top 25 teams, and a team plays 13 games and beats 3 Top 25 teams? By your guy's retarded arse logic, the team who played 13 games has a better resume, because they played 13 games.
A 13th game doesn't automatically make a team's resume stronger. I am sure you all are the same ones who are saying not playing McNeese State will hurt LSU.

How can you put TCU in over Baylor based on 11/12 of a season when 1/12 of the season was different?
Like it or not, head to head is viewed as the best tie breaker. If the Big 12 had 12 teams, 2 divisions and a CCG, there is a very good chance TCU and Baylor would be in the same division. In that case who goes to the CCG? Do the conferences that have CCG use formuals that measure 11/12 games or do they take the head to head winner in case of a 2 team tie?
If Ole Miss and Bama win out, everyone will think Bama is better, Ole Miss will still go to the SEC CG. We crown the champion based on who wins the last game, not a forumula that measures an entire season. I think TCU was better, but of the 2 I would've picked Baylor in the playoff.

Except they play one less game and have one less chance off losing.
Normally that conference championship game is against another school of similar skill and talent. It is another tough game and another chance for those vying for a spot to prove their worth. Baylor just gets to sit and rest.
