Probably. Think MJ will catch Lebron in rebounds and assists?

If he averages 25PPG (career is 27.9), it'd be 48.2 more games until he reaches that.

Considering for 10 years he has played at least 11 and this year he has played in 13 (career avg is 17.1) alone, he'd need 3 more years at a decent rate.

Pretty easy

MJ holds the all-time record with 8 50+point playoff games, 38 40+pts playoff games, 109 30+pts playoff games, and 173 20+pts playoff games. He played in 179 career playoff games.

I think LBJ is at like 69 career playoff games with 30+points, and he's played in like 170 playoff games already. Pretty incredible that MJ has like 40 more playoff games with 30+ points than LBJ, and only played in a few more playoff games than him. Don't care if LBJ finishes with more total points than MJ did, becaus LBJ will play in a lot more playoff games in his career than MJ did. Hell, he's 30years and will probably pass MJ in postseason games played already.

If LBJ was averaging 33.4ppg in the playoffs for his career, then we've got something. But total points? Who cares when 1 guy will play way more games than the other.

probably eventually. he's only a few years away at a reasonable pace. the only reason this will be especially impressive is how long he's been so key to his teams making and then advancing in the playoffs

his scoring really isn't the best part of his game - he's more impressive for the balance of his game and his versatility on both ends of the court

LeBron averages an assist per game and 2 rebounds per game more than MJ in the playoffs. They are different players.

No doubt, Lebron is gonna own every record in the book. Just go ahead and pencil in Lebron to be in the finals for the next ten years. Nobody can stop this man, he is the GOAT. The GOAT I tell you

it's pretty awesome that LBJ has played in so many playoff games, you know

it speaks to his consistency, his ability to lead teams to/in the playoffs, and his longevity

Lebron reminds me more of a Magic Johnson than Michael Jordan.

He distributes, manages, scores and rebounds. Dude is a winner and is really brilliant basketball player.

Well, LeBron shoots less, has more assists and more rebounds.

Sorry, but that is better than just putting up points. In fact Jordan was averaging more ppg in playoff games earlier in his career when he was losing. When he started passing more, he started winning. Of course he had better players to pass to and I am not being critical of his shooting a lot, but LeBron does more and is more impressive IMO.

Shoots less? Ok

Needed 37 shots to score 37 last night
That's Westbrook, not MJ

Considering any team with LeBron on it is a nearly a lock to make the Finals every year, it's not unreasonable to think so.

You do realize if he played in the West there's a good chance he has maybe 1 finals berth and no ring?

He's skated to the finals. East has been wide open for the last decade and what does he have to show?

Or he could have beaten those teams as well

Everyone wants to just talk about Jordan's greatness then make random excuses as to why LBJ won't come close. It's ok for someone else be as good or better than Jordan. Relax.
