I say they will be about the same in terms of value to their team. In terms of marketing, Lebron will obviously stay ahead.

LeBron is much more athletic but Durant can shoot.

Durant is a better scorer, but I doubt he will ever be the rebounder or ballhandler that Lebron is.

Durant will have the better supporting class imo.

Westbrook is nasty. Green will only get better. They just need a PG

Or defender. Lebron locked Durant down in the fourth quarter twice this season

Right, I think Durant's biggest weakness is man to man defense.

I don't think so.

I can see Durant scoring 32-34 PPG which is insane.

But Lebron will always be a better passer and MUCH better defender, and with dropping 30PPG on 50% FG shooting, he'll stay the best player in the NBA, a bit ahead of Durant.

But the 2 of them will be clearly ahead of everyone else in the league.

Durant needs to go to the media and say he can win the scoring title every year if he wants.

I don't follow your logic at all.

I know LBJ said it, but I have no idea how that ties into your post and this thread.

I really don't understand what Durant can do to overtake LeBron. The only thing Durant does better is shoot. He's a much better FT shooter, but I don't think there's a huge gap between their midrange or 3pt games. They're both solid rebounders, but LeBron is a more efficient offensive player, especially with his ability to pass.

LeBron's defense is on another level, that's not debateable.

Also, while I think Durant may have a greater skill set on offense, he's not a more dominant offensive player. Who can stop LeBron in the NBA if LeBron wants you on an iso? No one. Who can stop Durant in the NBA if Durant wants you on an iso? LeBron can.

Also, Durant's go to move is just plain harder than LeBron's, as long as his defender fouls him.

I say no. Some people including myself, still think LeBron can get better. Also dude has the potential to avg a triple-double, that's insane. But I do believe Durant will be a top scorer in the league similar to Mcgrady in his prime.

In three years? No probably not.

BUT consider that at the end of 2010 Lebron will be 26.

In 4 years he will be 30 with a lot of minutes. Also he is a big man, and those minutes take a heavier toll on big men than it does the lighter guys like Kobe. He is listed as 250 but him being 260-275 wouldn't surprise me.

Lebron is a freak of nature though so maybe age won't crash him down like ot has other bigs.

Just saying in 4 years age if Lebrons game takes a dip. He'll still be stil be a premier player but will the gap btw him and a 26 year old Durant be as large as it is today?

Though I guess u could say that is more Lebron falling back then Durant catching him.
