When the starting four around you involves two Knicks players, Thompson and Mozgov, I'll give him a pass if they lose in the finals.

Dude the Pelicans were a fringe playoff team in the West. Think they could cruise to 60 wins and the 1 seed in the East?

Maybe not 60 wins but something close to that, for sure. Oh, and we would beat ATL in a 7 game series.

Lebron was the best player in the finals last year and the Heat still got crushed. The Spurs had the best players 2-9. Just like the Orlando series in 09 when Lebron had one of the best playoff series of all time and the Cavs still lost in 6.

Jerry West went like 1-9 in Finals and is known as Mr. Clutch. At a certain point you need teammates. That's what's going to happen this year, the Warriors will probably sweep. Just look at this Cavs team without Lebron... It's atrocious.

That is kinda funny considering how the Pels fared against East teams.

Probably...although I will admit the 07 Pistons weren't all that great and certainly not a championship contender.
you don't know WTF you're talking about going in to the playoffs the Pistons were the 2nd best odds to win the championship that year(after the Mavs)

My thing is that the cavs defend WAY better with this lineup. And their guards actually are fairly tenacious. Shumpert will do a decent job on curry.. They will switch everything and Thompson has the energy length and athleticism to take away one of the biggest warriors threats: their small ball lineup with green at the 4 or 5.

If the W s go small the cavs can counter with Lebron at the 4 with Thompson/mozgov with shump, delly and JR. the bigger problem is depth

2014 Spurs and 2014 Heat were seen as basically a toss up

LBJ is 2-2 in Finals where he is at even or favorable odds.
They may have had equal odds prior to the series; however, save for maybe the 72 win Bulls team, I'm not sure any previous championship team would have beaten the Spurs the way they played.
