FSU got so much publicity as a "dirty" program the past couple of years because of what Jameis was accused of and that he was a Heisman candidate. Not as bad when Honey Badger is just indulging in smoking some grass.

I did, did not graduate, this has been discussed before

why ?

my position is not unreasonable. For those that want to point out I've not seen every play of every game, I will point out that some that have seen every play of every game share my opinion. Included those that give opinion of college football for a living.

It is after all only speculation that Miles is even gone and if so who the replacement might be.

if its my typing you want to criticize, get in line.

I'm in line for your mom.

could be Nebraska south but LA has a lot more talent just laying around

They had a pretty extended lull between Mcclendon and Saban IIFC.

got terrible luck with Rein who would have been good and don't remember why Arnsbarger didn't stay longer

I think you might be right. The issue here is that the only thing that really matters for many fans in championships.

It's really damn hard to win it all. I think Miles probably gives them the best chance to win it all vs any random person they hire. But if they strike gold with a great hire (and we won't know it's great til he wins it) then obviously everyone will think it's a great move.

3 years from now, people easily could be clamoring for Les back. Probably much more likely than not, actually.

part of that was Jimbo's fault handling Jameis... he was too beholden to trying to win championships to properly discipline him

what i want to know is the breakdown of the $15 million to buy out Les... someone hates him that much? I have much better things to do with 15 mil

lol...yeah that's it.

I actually hope your dumbasses fire Les.

It's going to be a long painful descent for LSU when that happens.

good article the make solid points , none of which address my assertion that doing this is a rush and hiring Jimbo Fisher would in the long run be a mistake..

I agree injuries are a part of the game and should not be an excuse. And I agree that the state of LA is a hot bed of talent and that LSU could and arguably should be a top 10 recruiting class almost by default

However I don't recall anyone calling for Les to be fired at the begging of the season. Fans had high hopes and for legit reasons. Les was a part of those high expectations because of his success.

I'm merely suggesting it would be a mistake to make a quick decision and I have serious questions about Jimbo's ability to lead a program.

Again LSU being THE LA flagship has its drawbacks,, if LSU had the sort of bad press that FSU had there wouldn't be a Miami or Florida Gators to distract the average fan

that bad press would dig a deeper hole that what your in

LSU has had A LOT of high profile players with problems under Miles.

Ryan P
JJ
Jeremy Hill

Heisman Candidate Tyrann Mathieu?

In the past 5 years FSU has had 19 arrested players and LSU has had 16.

The difference isnt big enough for me to be concerned

Alabama has had 18 so....

All arrests are not created equal.

And Jameis Winston was never arrested so....

because this sounds and looks like a reaction to two BAD games

3 bad games now

but that's just 2015

it's ignoring what happened in 2014

and it's ignoring what happened in 2013

and 2012

we're sliding and simply haven't been good in 4 years, and even then we ended the year with a soul-crushing loss due to miles' consistent issues

Texas started to suck as BEFORE they fired their coach. so did Tennessee.

LSU is trying to be proactive.

According to some LSU is both being passed by and shouldn't change.

Until Louisiana stops pumping at top prospect we should never settle for better than average. There are plenty of coaches out there who can push us to the next level. If the talents there the success will follow.

I'm just saying from the talent pool it's a crap shoot even if they hire a big name.

I just love hearing all these uninformed opinions from fans of mediocre mid-major programs who have never been long term powers, ever. They will never understand what it feels like to be right there in position to win conference and national championships and watch your charming buffoon coaching staff give it away time and time again.

And why is it assumed that whomever LSU hires will not be at least as good as Les has been, record wise (7-8 wins) immediately? You're pretty much spotted 5-6 wins per every year. The new coach would have to be 3/4 retarded to fall below that, as opposed to only mildly retarded like the one we have now.
