Way too slow. Too much pulling, jerking, twitching and scratching.

All of it is fueled by the demand for coaches to remain relevant and in power. That is, both sides (hitters and pitcher/defense) pausing for signs between every play.

Let them fricking play! Stop your horse shite, coach.

It's even made Little League games unbearable.

what you're not saying is that they're a Red Sox affiliate 40 minutes from Fenway...

College Baseball is IMO slowly gaining more viewers each year. No it will never be up there with College Football and Basketball. But it is still a big time revenue sports for a large number of schools. Louisville for example is once again going to expand its stadium with more plans in the future. Kentucky is building a brand new stadium. We are seeing more and more programs either expanding or building something brand new

Don't compare College Baseball to the pros. You can't do that. If you do of course you will be disappointed. But for me I enjoy College Baseball more than MLB. I prefer all college sports to pros.

Alabama just rebuilt their stadium, but baseball doesn't generate revenue for us.

Best players go to the minor leagues out of high school.

MLB is really the only pro sport i follow

I love baseball

I even went to a school who has been to Omaha 4 straight years and was originally going to play ball there

And I just don't care

Meanwhile I love college football and college basketball

I think the post season formats both football and basketball have play a huge role in their popularity

Need to move college baseball to the summertime to get the rest of the nation involved more. 3/4 of the country doesn't care cause the season starts in February.

I would say one reason is the lack of coverage really. College baseball, to me, is not far behind the talent level of college basketball these days, especially since one and done came to CBB.

But college baseball isn't hyped or aired nationally until the postseason/CWS. Even the featured games during the season are only usually an SEC game. I don't think it's profitable to pump College Baseball matchups for TV, but IMO that's one reason why people don't care. They don't know anything about it until it's June unless they are an SEC fan.

During this time of the year I switch between CWS and MLB on tv. The difference in the level of play is the main reason outside of LSU I don't follow or watch college baseball

No shite the level of play in the LLWS isn't much different than the CWS given the different scales the games are played at. I'm saying that give the parameters of the LLWS and the CWS the play isn't much different. If they could steal, do hit and run, and throw curve balls the quality of fielding, hitting, and pitching would be parallel.

I probably would have said some of the same things in this thread a year ago...but, I bought season tickets for LBSU this past season and had a blast.

That Super Regional against Fullerton was an awesome sports atmosphere.

you know I was comparing Lowell to the Baby cakes...

I'll admit that college baseball's cache in the SEC comes from football fans needing a sport to follow in the football off-season, and the brands of the football teams are a main reason significance is attached to baseball. (The weather is good mostly and they still play it better than anyone else)
