Why is Russell Wilson getting a pass on the last play?

That was an awful throw considering the situation. 2nd down, you throw that ball between the knees and the belt where the receiver is the only one who has a chance to make a play on that ball.

He deserves some of the blame for throwing it but whoever called the play gets the majority of the blame imo.

He got the look what he wanted single and the guy who jumped the route actually blew a coverage.

The play had the guy beat.

Because God made him throw the pass so he could learn from it and be a better person.

he hits the Wideout in the numbers and there is no interception. The CB was behind the guy and caught the interception through the wide receivers hands.

bad call, bad throw, weak attempt at catching it.

You don't take the ball out of your best players hands. Thats MArshawn Lynch

It took so long to get set-up that even if he could have changed the play, I don't think he had the time.

they tried to form a natural pick i think but Browner jammed his man and it freed up Butler or something like that.

still a moronic call though.

can't get that Marshawn Lynch image out of head from the video game clip on Conan:

WHAT THE frick IS THAT?

cause every day he goes to work and tries to be a better teammate and help someone get better and studies tape and blows pete and stays the frick out of marshawn's way.

This doesn't have anything to do with the throw.

Pretty damn easy to say that after the fact huh?

If you look at the play, his man was open. He lead him a bit too much, and Butler made a fantastic break on the ball. He gets the ball out a tenth of a second quicker, or leads him a half a yard less and that's a TD.

I mean he actually hits his receiver perfectly in stride. When you run that play, you practice it thinking the danger is throwing behind your recevier because you think that is where the trailing corner will be after trying to come around his pick.

Look at this picture here: As Russell is releasing the ball, he sees space in front of his receiver. I dont even know if Butler is in his view

Why didn't he tuck the ball and run? The middle and linebackers were pretty spread out...he's got some wheels...he could have tucked it and tried to score up the middle.

As that ball is about to leave Wilson's hands, the WR looks to be open. Butler made an amazing break on that football.

Are you saying he wasn't open? I'm not sure how you can argue that...

IMO it was a good throw. Not bad, not great...just a good slant throw. Dude just made the play of his life and picked it off.

Look at the screenshot of the play. Where was he going to run?

And when you call a quick slant like that you try to execute the play. It isn't a play where the QB is going to start ad libbing.

Into the ten yards of open endzone in front of him?
