Texas went there too while McCoy was there.

Probably a 2 for 1 but why they even did that is beyond me.
I went to El Paso for a Sun Bowl and would never go back to that dump. People here like to rag on Tucson but El Paso makes Tucson look like Malibu. Weeds don't even grow in the desert there.

If I remember correctly we had a return road game scheduled with TCU and then they joined the conference so we had to schedule another road game on short notice.

The AD probably plays a lot of NCAA 13 and promises recruits a game in their home state all the time. Gotta get in on that El Paso recruiting scene.

There are some other head scratchers:
Texas having a road game at Wyoming before this year. Why on Earth does Texas need to play in Wyoming?
Nebraska @ Southern Miss next year. These two play a lot, so maybe it was throwing them a bone. Recently, they made it better by moving the game from Hattiesburg to the Superdome in New Orleans, so it makes a lot more sense for Nebraska now.
ADs leaving a lot of money on the table.

yea b/c they will bring 30k fans now
also Nebraska play at Wyoming to and basically made it a home game
funny these big programs will play in these shite holes on the road and still wont play at Boise HS stadium
