Been a Magic fan since the beginning of their franchise and they just suck balls

The organization sucks.. the front office don’t care if they win or lose

Orlando is a great place to live, great weather, theme parks for their kids, great schools, no income tax, one of the best arenas in the league

It’s just sad watching this team that I have always loved suck this bad at basketball

The same here, but I don't understand how you can say that they just suck balls.

While I will say there front office isn't good, I think they absolutely care about winning.

Before the formation or reformation of super teams, the Magic generally speaking were a very competitive franchise, especially considering that they are small market.

They have had several franchise type players and were never afraid to build around them, although the Shaq fiasco was a disaster.

The team always spends money, the problem is that they know they aren't going to be a top flight destination for free agents anymore. So they have to overpay on mid tier guys and hope they develop or go all in on drafting guys and hope the hit another legit star.

The team is legitimately stuck in the middle. Not bad enough to tank yet not good enough to be a true contender.

At some point, they are just going to have to burn it all down. They have a lot of assets that competing teams would like, but competitive teams aren't going to have the best assets to give back. It's literally being stuck in a middle tier limbo.

Ownership is trash, they hire shite front office, remember the owners hired a hockey gm. They play in the crap east and their roster is usually just good enough to get them an 8 seed so their draft picks are never high to get a game changer. And than we they have a decent high pick they draft projects. Or they draft position players where they already have players. Take the Mo Bamba draft year. That year in free agency they signed Bismarck Biyombo, than they draft Bamba, than they traded oladipo, sabonis, ersan for ibaka. So they potentially just acquired 3 centers/pf with Gordon and vucuvic already on the team and traded away their best scorer in oladipo with no one really to replace him.

They should give up completely and trade Vucevic to Dallas for James Johnson and Dwight Powell to get some cap relief.

Orlando is absurdly overrated. NBA players don't care about all of the Disney shite and it is the one major city in Florida that isn't on the ocean.

great weather

Orlando in the summer might be the hottest place on earth. It is absolutely fricking miserable. No snow =/= great weather.

no income tax

This and having DeSantis as governor are easily the two biggest selling points on anywhere in Florida.

This the thread I been wanting to start as a life long Magic fan.

Short answer...ownership refuses to blow it up.

Aaron Gordon is garbage player. Fight me.

Also they are the Al Davis Raiders of the NBA. If they are tall and weigh about a buck fifty...the Magic will draft them. They refuse to draft ready contribute players. It’s always projects. Always.

So they get these projects and then refuse to develop them and give them minutes. Look at Bamba. I’m convinced they’re trying to tank his career.

Aaron Gordon is this franchises fools gold. They’ll wait for him to develop a jump shot until Jesus comes back.

They have to have one of the worst rosters I can recall in recent memory. Nobody stands out.
