Why as a Lakers fan we should love Russell

Because it means we will pursue Kevin Love or LaMarcus Aldridge instead of Rajón Rondo.
I will take the next 3 years of Russell and Aldridge over any team with Rondo and Okafor any day of the week.

Not sure who is gonna sign Rondo, he may have gotten himself blackballed after what he pulled in the playoffs. Who is gonna want him on their team?

I wanted him a few years ago. But that was only if the Lakers could have resigned Howard and were going to put an elite defensive team on the court.
Now I want Aldridge or Love (actually hope he resigns with Cleveland). If not those two then maybe Butler to play along side Russell. Just please no Jordan.

I think it's a great pick. with Kobe retiring, you need a new face of the franchise, and a guy who can score in bunches

As a Lakers fan you should love it because you got (IMO) the best player in the draft & a guy who I would be absolutely shocked if he didn't make at least 5 All Star Games.
