agreed, but the question is what kind out output:investment they can expect

The $10k question that no one can seem to answer.

They keep blaming the product on the field, but last years crop of FAs isn't some sort of all-star lineup. No one that would make such a huge difference that it would justify spending an assload of money just to come back and lose games.

I don't find it that complicated to understand.

Just to add, I think if they had any sort of pitching, they wouldn't be so bad. The offense isn't terrible. Its better than alot of teams.

It's just the pitching is so god awful.....

If you want to see what new owners who actually want to win do, check out what Mark Anastasio did with the Brewers. He actually spent money and guess what, the team became a lot more competitive immediately and the farm system wasn't hurt by it.

Astros 27-45

Brewers 28-41

This is why you shouldn't talk shite when you've been a fan of team for two days and know very little about the sport.

I've been waiting for this bump.

Don't forget to point out -- the Mets $100 million dollar payroll has them sitting at a record of 27 - 40.

The Dodger's $239 Million opening day payroll has them sitting at the spectacular record of 29 -39. Seriously, for $200 million dollars, you can only get 2 more wins than the terrible Astros?? That 29 - 39 record is the same that the White Sox are spending close to $120 million to achieve.

Yes, the Astros are bad. They are achieving "Bad" status with a embarrassing low payroll and among the youngest line up in the majors.

So, what does that make the Dodgers, Brewers, White Sox, and Mets?
