Only 6 times?

His completion percentage was under 65% in six different games
Under 65% is bad?

After the Florida State game, he only threw for, at the very most 329 yards.
Only 329 yards?

As far as a #1 overall pick, I have no idea. We've seen this story play out before.

QBs always rise bc teams are so desperate to hit on one. Happens almost every year

Exactly.

I'm honestly surprised they aren't hyping up Mahomes more.

Quarterback is THE most important position in the NFL. If you don't have at least a decent QB your chances of competing for championships are almost nil.

Compared to every other QB who has ever lived, he probably isn't all that great. But compared to all of the draft eligible QB's THIS YEAR he may be the best prospect.

Supply and demand. The demand is always high for QB's and this year the supply is weak.

I expect the number one pick in the draft to have better numbers than this, correct
Ummm, his numbers are

68%-----288yds/g-----2.3tds/game------0.46ints/game-----158rating

It is honestly hard to be much better than that man

For reference, here are Lucks stats

71%-----270yds/game------2.84tds/g-------0.77ints/game----169 rating

So you can not like him for reasons, but to say his stats arent there is just not true

He practices really really well and scouts go and watch practices. So that has to have something to do with it.

Yep I see a QB that should be a 3-4 round type grade. He was only a one year starter and wasn't playing behind a great QB during those years. I don't think NFL teams completely understand that if you miss on a QB in the first round you will set your franchise back the next 3 to 4 years. I would rather take a chance on a QB late in a draft every year instead of locking myself to a QB in the first that I have to play the next 3 to 4 years before I can give up on him.

Those stats are heavily inflated by that three game stretch of JMU, Pitt, and FSU. After that, he was pretty good, but nothing special.

Almost every single players stats will be helped against the weaker teams on their schedule.
