I see people are falling for that bullshite leaves story hook, line and sinker. No way a 4 year old is able to comprehend that. Quick question if this happened in May why is AP just getting indicted now?

I even posted it a couple of pages back. All they have to do is read.

no one wants to read the police report

they just want to downplay what AP did and equate it to spanking. which it was not. that's not being honest at all. the evidence is there. beating your kid while stuffing leaves in his mouth so he can't scream is incredibly insane.

no justification for it. none.

In the context the analysts were talking about it means physical.

Regardless of how you interpret it, the word "injury" works here. My advice to you, stop watching ESPN if it bothers you so much. Also, don't let little things like this bother you.

I can't believe you've argued this for so long. Are you this bored?

I'm simply saying it's not accurate to describe the injuries as "severe".

1. You're basing this off of pictures of the injuries after healing for a week.

2. That is absolutely severe in the context of a 4 year old.

Your children must be dumb. My baby girl would absolutely know someone stuffed leaves in her mouth and could easily articulate it to me or her mother.

Your whole post is a straw-man.

* I'm not downplaying what AP did.

* I'm not equating it to spanking.

* I'm not saying it isn't "insane".

* And I'm not saying there is any justification for it.

I argued none of those things. Yet people keep bringing these arguments up as if it is relevant to what I have been saying.

Severe abuse. Yes.

Severe injuries. No.

Your position seems a bit convoluted.

Oh, I see. People are now starting to say that the police report is a lie. Well, AP admitted that he hit him in the scrotum through a text message. Is that a lie, too?

To a 4 year old, yes. If someone did that to my girl, I would consider it quite severe.

Look, I think you're way too hung up on the semantics at play here. You admit that it is severe abuse, but you are holding so tightly onto the semantics of "severe injury."

This is where he tells you age doesn't matter.

This thread is funny.

My position is very clear.

The actual injuries are not severe injuries, so people should stop describing the actual injuries as severe.

AP went overboard, it was abuse, it was violent, it was mental abuse, it was wrong and disturbing, especially to do that to a 4 year old.... I agree with all of that. But putting that emotion aside, all I am saying is that people keep describing the actual injuries as severe, when they are not.

OK, so should he be suspended? Should he be indicted?

I've already told him that "injury" works in this case. Because the word doesn't have to mean physical harm. It can just mean wrongdoing. His response was that the analysts were using in the context of physical harm. I mean this debate is going nowhere. I'm with you, it's crazy how this bothers him so much.

Congrats on arguing semantics so well for 8 pages. There is literally no purpose to a single one of your posts in here.

It doesn't "bother me so much". This is a forum, and I posed a question and responded to those who responded to me.

Didn't argue that either. The abuse can be described as severe. The injuries are not.
