He's actually very, very good. People just never hear about him.

20/5/4 average on the year. Last 9 games his averages are 24/5/5 (that's top tier territory)

He's no Bron or KD of course, but he's a stud.

I don't know a single good businessman (coaches are basically businessmen) that would choose an unworthy candidate over a worthy candidate based upon skin color (or gender for that matter). These people are in the business of making money, if a purple alien is going to win more games (and make more money), then they'd hire a fricking purple alien.

That's not entirely true. The NFL has a terrible case of nepotism. It's not just a color issue. But it's also an issue of looking down on CFB coaches. A perfect example is the Tennessee Titans. They recently hired Mike Mularkey. A head coach with a with an overall record of 18-39 and brings no new energy to the franchise.

Something needs to be done about the NFL continually hiring re treads.

Like let the market correct itself and don't interject. If the Titans want to make a shitty retread hire, then let them do it and continue to be shitty. Eventually people will start realizing to go a different route if what they are doing isn't working market wise.

We will see. I'm under the impression that nepotism in the NFL is never going to change. Mainly because the NFL looks down on new hires.

How else do people think Jeff Fisher is still employed these days?

Gordon Hayward is pretty good. If he was in a big market he'd be overrated.

I'm a fan of his game

They are hiring Mularkey because they feel he gives them the best chance to win, they may be wrong but I'm sure that's how they feel. They chose the less risky option, the devil they know over the devil they don't.

At this point it's tough to get a good read on what they are feeling.

Considering that this is Mularkey that we're talking about, this is not really a "less" risky option.

It's a "not even a blip on the radio" hire.

I'm kind of confused as to why Cam being a black QB is such a big deal for this year's Super Bowl.

Isn't this the 4th Super Bowl in a row with a black starting QB: Kap, Wilson, Wilson, and now Cam?

Doesn't LSU have a black kicker or punter. They also had a white WR

LSU also had an AA center in Ben Wilkerson, and an AA safety in Craig Steltz. Jack Hunt was also white and the starting safety for the 2003 NC team. LSU also has had more starting black QBs than any P5 team in the country the last 25 years or so, or so it seems (Herb Tyler 95-98; Rohan Davey 00-01; Marcus Randall 04; Jamarcus Russell 05-06; Jordan Jefferson 09-11; Anthony Jennings 13; Brandon Harris 13-present). And LSU has also had a white starting RB in Jacob Hester. We're all about breaking barriers

I thought like you. Then I realized AA stood for All-American in this context.
