Who's the best coach in professional sports right now?

Bill Belichick or Gregg Popovich? Belichick has three rings and five SB appearances while Popovich has four rings and four finals appearances with a good shot at getting his fifth ring this year. It's a tossup for me. The coaching job Popovich has done with this year's Spurs team is nothing short of sensational.

POP. What he has done IS amazing. He is quiet and nobody talks about the Spurs UNTIL its MONEY Time. They have been doing this for years and I have a feeling they win it ALL again.

man that's a close one....like a real close one. i'd go with pop though.
mostly because the 4-4 finals, and bellichick (sp?) had the whole spygate thing.

I thought everybody knew by now that a manager doesn't make much of a difference in a team's win-loss record. Andrew Friedman and the Rays front office deserve 90% of the credit for putting that team together.

Best coach is a toss up but id say what BB has done is more impressive due to the differences in basketball and football
But im bias so take it FWIW

There's like dead even, IMO. Harder to hold consistency in football than in basketball, so maybe Belichick for that reason.

Basketball - Popovich
Football - Belichick
Baseball - Tossup, but I'll say Joe Maddon

Good question. Both all time great coaches. I'll say popovich.

Top 5 no order are Pop, Carslile, Belichick, McCarthy and Tortorella

Pop for this reason:he's the only non-pro in a sport where prior pros have dominated
Counting Larry brown's short stint as a d-league pro makes pop the only non-pro in a loooooooooooong time to dominate the sport

If Phil Jackson returns (rumored), where would he rank?
