I have read this entire thread and I think you are thinking the best coach will get coach of the year, which is logical, but there has been a recent trend of the most improved coach getting coach of the year in all sports which is why they are all saying Bud. Just look at Arians over Belichick 2 or the last 3 years. Oh, and they shouldn't vote on this until after the Playoffs are over because I wouldn't be surprised if we were all saying Pop again by the time the Finals are over.

Thats such a cop out.

It's not like Bud has a bunch of damn bums on his team. He has Teague and Horford and Millsap. But he turned them into those great players right? Get the frick out of here. Millsap and Horford were all stars before this year.

If Kerr inherited a good team so did Bud and in a shittier conference. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be in the discussion, because he does. He's toe to toe with Kerr, but it's asinine to think Kerr has done just as well as Bud simply because he has a better roster.

that isn't even a new thing. That's the only reason why phil didn't win it year in and year out

And Pop would have a hell of a lot more than 3.

LE thought kyle korver was a below average basketball player last year and now he is counting him as an all star to attempt to discount coach bud. Just let him roll with iir, who cares?

I said he was a role player, not below average. He still is a role player

Do you even follow the NBA? Stevens has done an absolutely remarkable job. You don't have to win the conference to do a great coaching job. Of Budenholzer, Kerr, and Stevens, the Celtics have by far the worst roster.

last night's loss withstanding...Stevens has the C's playing really good ball as of late.

Tyler Zeller is coming into his own now.

COY hasn't come from a sub .500 team since 1967. Stevens has no shot(and he shouldn't).

And by far the worst record too.

Stevens is a fine coach and is doing a nice job...he isn't doing a significantly better job than Jason Kidd, for example, and certainly not better than Kerr or Bud.

Wins should obviously be the most important criteria for who wins this award I don't see any way Stevens finishes even top 3.

Bud
Kerr
Kidd

Top 3

This is true. I'm honestly surprised he made the all star team. Just shows how watered down the Eastern Conference is.

. Mark Jackson was an embarrassingly awful head coach. If you take Jackson away and replace him with an average coach, the results would be positive. The Sports Illustrated article said Jackson didn't watch video and was an egomaniac. Just watching them, they played street ball on offense

Embarrassingly awful head coach, did you check his record the previous 3 years?
