His first few years at UK definitely skew his UK win %, and to a lesser extent skew his overall win %.

Obviously he didn’t inherit a goldmine at Minnesota, but he still didn’t do well there. Here were his Big 10 records.

8-10
9-9
9-9
6-12
6-12
8-10

Never had a a winning Big 10 record in 6 years.

I swear you are arguing against somebody who won’t look up the talent and situations Harrick went to

I mean he blew and I mean blew multiple tournament games. If Norm Stewart wasn’t so damn stupid he doesn’t get his title.

You foul Tyus Edney there 100 out of 100 times in Boise

Is that a joke? Harrick’s national title was in year 7 at UCLA. Harrick’s UCLA records were

21-10
22-11
23-9
28-5
22-11
21-7
32-1
23-8

His first 2 years actually were 2 of his worst years at UCLA. Seriously, do you bother to spend 10 seconds looking at wiki articles before you post? You can find year by year coaching records there easily.

And there it is!!

You understand the talent that Harrick has at UCLA year 1? He had 5 Future NBA players with 3 of them upper class

He had NBA talent at URI he walked into also

Forget he’s been investigated at every stop for cheating

Having losing conference records at both Minnesota and Texas Tech is winning everywhere?

Stupid.

What was TT record the previous 3 years b4 he got there?

What was Minny’s record before he took over. Go ahead. Tell us what Molinari’s record the year before. And Monson’s the year before? How many conference wins did Monson have in 7 years?

The situation you walk into is a relevant issue for one year. However, it’s not like Tubby noticeably improved in Minnesota after year 1.

He took them from 3-13 in the Big Ten to 8-10 in year 1. Obviously not bad. However, he got no better in future seasons. You can’t blame your predecessor in year 6.

Even stupider.

Monson coached 7 years there. One 20 win season. Tubby came on and put up 3 in a row.

Wrong. Went 9-9 the following 2 years.

Tubby hD 5 20 win seasons out of 6.

He went 21-13, 8-10 in conference.

AND MADE THE TOURNAMENT.

Stop digging.

How do you make a case against Tubby Smith and not mention Saul?

He went 8-10, 9-9, 9-9, 6-12, 6-12 and 8-10 in the Big Ten. His performance in the Big Ten was actually better in year 1 than it was in years 4 and 5.

He was better than a really bad predecessor. So what?

Didn't have the same playing field as other coaches at Arkansas.

Why you lying Pio?

He had it better he just got his bluff called. He tried to make Nail cover him in the case and got blasted in court.

Yes and do you not remember who made more money for school? Stephens media still deserved to be shut down as that was the start of their witch hunt

I'll say Ollie since he's the Mike Dubose of CBB.

I also know who brought a national championship. Nutt got a contract extension for going 2 games over .500. Nolan got fired.
