Favre is easily #1.. So the question in the OP should be who is #2..

Sid luckman and Sammy Baugh. No facemasks

If the NFL really wanted to make the game safe (re: concussions), removing facemasks is all they need to do.

Terry Bradshaw should be in the conversation.

Brett Favre and it's really not even close. The reasons why are pretty damn obvious. Big Ben and Air McNair are also decent answers though.

Romo. Seems like every year he's playing a game with broken ribs.

Brought his team back for a win in SF (?) with a punctured lung. That was pretty cool.

Joe Kapp comes to mind. Bradshaw & Stabler were also tough.

I'm surprised his brain can still string sentences together

Fran Tarkington.

Archie Manning

I have to discount the more modern QB's because of the protection rules now. Just watch the 30-30 about the 85 bears. Almost every hit on the QB u see would be auto ejection today.

Tarkenton's a good choice, particularly with all of the scrambling he did.

1. Elway
2. Favre
3. Dave Krieg
4. Y.A. Title
5. Jim Harbaugh

(and Brady is a stick-figured thin-boned metrosexual wuss and wouldn't have survived the 80's let alone the 70's.) - he is so lucky to have played in the watered-down era of the NFL.

David Carr. It's amazing he is still alive.

Steve McNair was tough but he seemed to get injuries easier than most

Very underrated. Favre is the obvious number one, but McNair, Big Ben and Romo should be on the list as well.

Brees had probably the worst injury a QB could have aside from having arm amputated and came back from it.

If we're going that route Peyton had a pretty serious neck surgery and came back and had a record setting year in 2013
