Who is the best college QB you have ever witnessed play?

I think it's no brainer for me. At one time Tebow would run away with this honor but for me it's Cam Newton. Of course JFF might be worthy of consideration but if everyone takes off their sunglasses then Cam is easily the best QB we've ever seen in college football (no offense to Peyton)

ETA: You don't have to have seen them in person. Seeing them on TV etc. is the criteria.

Cam Newton
Tebow
Steve Mcnair
Vince Young
Charlie Ward
Gino Torretta

possibly in that order

In person??

If so it would be between Big Ben, Tebow, and Wuerffel.

I don't think OP means in person. Maybe I'm wrong.

I saw Vince Young in 2004 when UT played at Arkansas.

Still think Mallett was a better QB though and stick with Mallett as my choice.

You don't have to have seen them in person. TV is fine.

Well that makes for a much less interesting thread.

I agree that Cam was on a whole other level at Auburn. He's not the only freak with that kind of size it's just that most 6-5 250 guys that run a 4.5 are DE's and can't throw the football.

I did see Brett Favre in person in 1990 when southern miss played Bama at legion field. He beat Bama 27-24

Newton was just so dominant. The perfect college QB. Thought Manning was also great, along with Leinart (now we know he was a system QB). And Manziel is up there, too. Most dynamic QB I have seen since Vick as a redshirt freshmen.

are we talking for an entire season, or entire college career, or for just one game in college?

At least vote for a guy that finished one season.
Answers would be different if it were career. Tim Tebow might runaway with the best career.
