Can't imagine he won't have his pick.

Defensive coaches are probably secondary in most searches now

Well he's got two options since he turned two interviews down.

Gonna be nice to have a Bama NFL coach as well next year, along with our 3 starting QB's. Assuming Tua makes it to the season.

Texans. They interviewed him a few days ago, and according to insiders and analysts, it went “extremely well for both sides” Ryans was supposed to interview with the Colts and another team this week, but after the Texans interview he canceled those other interviews.

Lol, bro. Hopefully you’re joking, but that’s some sad shite if not.

I’d be pumped to have him as HC but I hope he brings in a stud at OC.

I don't know why any team without a franchise QB would hire a HC with a defensive background. You need an offensive guy to either maximize the full offensive potential of the team without a top tier QB or to develop a young franchise QB.

I think the exact opposite. plenty of serviceable QBs to get you through a few years while building up the team that would surround a supposed hotshot QB. It just seems to be such an inefficient use of available funds for a crappy team to draft a rookie QB they must start to make if even appear to be worth it. Then all their new QB learns is he has to try to do it all himself instead of learning to be a better QB.

Well the 49ers are literally proving this wrong in real time. Purdy has played lights out but he is far from proven. They have relied on the no.1 defense in football and are now in the NFC championship game.

They have Kyle Shanahan as their head coach who is a major reason why Purdy is playing lights out. Also, the 49ers put up 41 points last week. Their offensive production is a major reason why they'll be playing in the NFC Championship Game next week.

Ehh, makes sense. Usually teams go in the opposite direction of the coach they just fired. You had an offensive guy, replace him with a defensive guru. You have a hard-arse, replace him with a players coach.

I think they’re just constructed well. Remember their previous d coordinator was “elite” as well.

If I’m an NFL GM/owner, I’m hiring a head coach who can develop a qb.

I thought coaching the Texans was like being in a slave auction and that Houston hates black coaches and never gives them a chance to succeed? Why would he go there?
