My dad was a high school basketball coach and has a tremendous love for basketball and I was lucky enough at a young age to be able to attend so many Final Fours here in New Orleans. I haven't missed any tournaments (1st/2nd rounds, regionals or Final Fours) hosted in New Orleans since 87. The players/ memorable events I've been able to witness has been unbelievable.

Keith Smart beating the Cuse in '87.
1990 regionals with "Lethal Weapon 3" Kenny Anderson, Dennis Scott and Brian Oliver from GA Tech
The Fab 5 against Kentucky and the North Carolina were both fantastic games. The Mich UNC game may be one of the most memorable in history.
Wally Szczerbiak upsetting #2 Utah in the 2nd round in 1999 and seeing Ashley Judd in her prime at the 2UK games.
The 2001 event was somewhat underwhelming expect for seeing John Chaney and Temple get a couple upset wins as an 11 seed.
Melo dominating every aspect of college basketball in 03.
07 (moved to NO Arena) had Florida on their way to a championship
2010 sucked
2011 regional had Butler upsetting Florida in OT.
I went the the Final Four in Houston since it was close and it was very uneventful. We bought tickets early and basically had to go.
2012 Final Four was big time. UK-Louisville, then UK-KU. Jared Sullinger, Anthony Davis. Rick Pitino and John Calipari.

2013 we played by ear and decided to fly over to Atlanta that Monday for the final. We will probably do the same this year and in 2016 if the teams playing seem like they'll be a good matchup. With these big stadiums, getting tickets on the street is pretty easy. And with it being close, it's usual an hour or two flight to Dallas, Houston or Atlanta.

I was there in New Orleans a couple years ago. A lot of fun, to say the least.

Exact same. Scariest drive of my life.

I went in 2009 in Detroit. It was just a great day. The Spartan fans were out in full force and the weather was perfect for bar hopping. That was the first Final Four where they put the court in the middle of the stadium. I sat on an end and didn't think it was too bad. I'm glad I didn't go to the championship game because the weather was nasty and the outcome was decided ten minutes into it.

2010 in Indy when WVU went. Forth every dollar and the 10 hour drive from DC.

The saturday games it was in the 70's out and us and the sparty fans took the city over getting rowdy. Half their fans just made the short drive down to party. Sparty chicks were surprisingly hot.

My best friend grew up in Connecticut, so we drove from Miami to the Women's Final Four in Tampa to see LSU and UConn play. They both lost, and it wasn't very fun otherwise. Except maybe the people watching.

I feel terrible for the people that drove all the way to Indianapolis to see that LSU performance. I was so excited about that game, and it was bad enough just spending an evening watching it. A men's final four is on my bucket list, and there's no way I'm not going if LSU makes it back.

1978 St. Louis. UK won N.C. over Duke in the old Checkerdome.

1987 and 1993 in New Orleans.

Saw Chris Weber call time out, travel, then call time out again before the ref gave it to him in the dome. That was a great final 4. Kansas, Michigan, Kentucky and North Carolina.

Saw Syracuse beat Kansas last time in NOLA. Hard to beat the excitement of a final 4.
