Football is always better but the NBA playoffs and start of major golf is a good time for me

I thought this was common knowledge

NHL and NBA playoffs are tough to beat. I know avid baseball and football fans that would even agree.

No football, not the best season in sports.

October is by far the best. You have football, basketball, baseball, and hockey.

As far as actual "sports" goes, yes. This is the best season.
The NBA playoffs on every night at this point is really fun. It makes it a part of my daily routine instead of just waiting for games on the weekend. And, every game matters. I like that.
I love football, but it is starting to get boring, to be honest - on both the college and pro level. And, it dominates weekends with just drama during the week. I like it. But, from a sports perspective, this is better.
I was with a friend having dinner in a pub the other night and the NBA playoffs were on. They were just on and I was interested and it was a lot of fun in a normal, regular sort of way without it being a huge event. That has some merit to

I feel the same way

Not to mention during this season you don't have to hear about every dork's fantasy football team and every fan's argument about who should be in the CFP.

This is a great time in sports, sure.
However, nothing beats September. Start of NFL and College Football, and nothing beats meaningful September games if your favorite MLB team is still in playoff contention.

Agreed. Plus, I love US Open tennis in there. March Madness/Masters is awesome, but you can't lump it in with NBA/NHL playoffs that take so long.

i agree, i find NCAAF compelling for the first couple weeks and then my interest just gradually declines; i dont even enjoy betting on games as much as i used.
i havent watched the nfl in years though, so i cant comment on that. reminds me too much of nascar.
nba playoffs are awesome though, but i get the feeling that i will lost interest in that event as soon as lebron retires (and whether they want to admit it or not, i bet a lot of other people feel similarly).

Why not? It's a 3 month span which is shorter than both college and NFL football season.
