I don't think they trade for one. Yes, Steven Wright is going to regress, but Porcello has been a solid number 2, and Price is going to keep getting better (hopefully). They can roll with Price, Porcello, Wright, E-Rod, Buch/Kelly/Johnson/other AAA guys.

With how Benintendi is destroying the ball right now I think the Sox wait to deal him. All things point to him being an everyday MLB corner player. But if they get a good enough deal out of it I could see them doing it. Which they very well could get a great deal out of it.

I agree, but if they want to get a guy of Gray's caliber, you gotta give up someone.

I think the Sox are content with the arms they have. Outside of a couple of teams, it gets real ugly once you start talking 4's and 5's. E-Rod will probably be a league average #3 this year, and Steven Wright has been pitching out of his mind especially for a #4 type. Porcello tops out as a good #2, but should be average/slightly below average #2, and Price is a legit ace.
They can mash their way through some terrible starters in that 5 role.

I gotcha. But do you really think that we can win this division with the rotation we have? I recognize that Price is a legit ace. If E-Rod can pick it up he could be our solid #2 he's got the stuff to be the number one but not with price here. I think in a perfect world E-Rod will be our number two and porcello would be our #3.

I have faith that Dom will make something happen.

ERod is not a 2 at this point in his career. Porcello quietly had a nice second half last year and has looked good this year.
