Who are you picking 1st in the draft: Shaq or Lebron?

You're an expansion team. Who are you selecting first, knowing everything you currently know about both players?

Lebron and it should not be close for anyone

Shaq
As much as I want to pick LeBron I can't go against Shaq who was one of top 10 dominant players imo

One guy can play all 5 positions on the court and the other is shaq.

I can see the youth in this post. Give me Shaq. The NBA had to change its rules just because of him. Lebron and Jordan cant say that. Shaq from 98-2004 was more dominant than any player I've seen.
Today's NBA would be killed by a 20 year old Shaq.

Today? LeBron. Before the rule changes? Shaq.

That is true, but Shaq in his prime dominated like no other.

My dad would take me to Magic games when he was there. I was young as hell, but remember him being unreal.

I am taking the guy who handles the ball 10/10. Prime Shaq was incredible & a ton of fun to watch but the NBA today is driven by the dominant wings

In today's b-ball, lebron and as stated it's not close. 30 years ago I'm taking Shaq.. There was a time when there were a lot of big men that dominated more then anyone else on the floor
Eta: with as spread and 3 pointer centric as the NBA had become you need athletic wings and more solid ball handlers.

LeBron led of outcast to the NBA finals so he is great player but Shaq in an era with different rules dominated like no other big man. They made rules to neutralize him...

Can I take Shaq simply for the sound bites?

The only way to stop Shaq is to get the refs to enforce traveling. He was allowed to shuffle his feet at will. He looked like Karnowski on Monday.

Remember Shaq dominated when there was Robinson, Duncan, Ming, Ewing, Olajuwan, and many other 7'+ 250 lbs.+ centers. Today he would get to the low blocks every play. Would either be fouled or score. I can envision 34 ppg - 17 rpg easily.

LeBron and Jordan are the only two players that would make me hesitate in picking Shaq 1st overall.
