Which would you rather? Albatross or hole in one?

Obviously one is tougher than the other. Which would you chose to have one of in your lifetime?

eta: 18 Albatross' or doule-eagles in PGA Major history

Another interesting find on wikipedia

quote:

As of October 2008, a condor (four under par) hole-in-one on a par 5 hole had been recorded on four occasions, aided by thin air at high altitude, or by cutting the corner on a doglegged or horseshoe-shaped hole.

My initial thought was albatross all the way, but a thought went through my mind that gave me a little pause. If you hit an albatross, a lot of people's first question will be the yardage on the hole. They will start trying to poke holes in your accomplishment. A hole-in-one is typically accepted as a cool accomplishment no matter the distance.

Having said that, albatross would be my choice.

Mark me down for hole in one. If you are a semi-serious golfer, your resume is basically incomplete without one.

I've been playing for 20 years without one. If I die hole-in-oneless, I'll consider my life an abject failure.

That's their problem. I'd much rather have an albatross and I DGAF what everybody else thinks about it.

Albatross is harder to achieve, but hole-in-one has the name recognition.

Basically anytime you hole out from the fairway, what you've done is as difficult as a hole in one.But there's just something about marking that 1 on the scorecard.

As a very casual golfer (couple rounds a year), but fan of the sport and someone who understands the implications of both, I'd rather have a hole in one. No real reasoning.

Hole in one.

I don't know what an albatross is.

-3. Holing out on the second shot of a Par 5 for example.

I'd like to submit an answer of a hole in one on a par 4. Knock them both out on on shot

2 on a par 5

I've got my ace, but I haven't played in several years.

I've never been close for a hole in one. I have put the second shot about four inches from the hole on a shorter par 5. Probably the closest I'll ever get.

I've had a couple within a foot or two. My closest, though, was back in 5th grade when I hit a worm burner that lipped out

I made an albatross at Pelican Point years ago, but I have never made a hole in one.

Nobody cares about the albatross.
People only want to know if you've made a hole in one.
