Correct. Baylor 2014 didn't belong.

That's your problem. You're so interested in being right, that you don't even realize that I've AGREED with the OP in this thread.

I have simply brought up a different topic of discussion. You're a smart guy. I wanted to see your opinion on it. But you're clearly not interested. Which is the real reason this thread will die or be anchored. No one wants to have discussions with you.

North Dakota State and Illinois State beat Iowa and Northwestern, respectively, this year.

And those aren't even "bad" B1G teams.

(because you're wrong and I can prove it. Just accept it, and it will be over.)

I'm honestly beginning to wonder if someone pays balls to legitimize the committee on message boards/blogs or something with all the time and energy he spends supporting them on here.

Virtually every computer system has the same top 4. The humans and computers agree. Why are you being crazy?

I'm still waiting on someone to bite on his topic so he can wax philosophic on why Ohio State should be in over Penn State..

I don't have to do that. I already have comprehensive evidence. Ohio State has a better record and a tougher schedule than Penn State. What part don't you get?

You love the Massey Composite. Did they get it right in 2014?

It's a composite of mathematical formulas. Unless somebody does their math wrong, it's right.

Perhaps I wasn't clear.

The composite in 2014 was Alabama , Oregon, TCU, OSU, Florida State. TCU was left out and FSU was the #3 seed. Did the committee get it right then?

Ohio State is a member of the Big Ten conference. As such, they participated in making the rules to determine the champion of the conference. They voted on such.

Therefore- Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, northwestern etc all agreed that the winner of the champion game is their champion, their better.

Now, I have no love at all for Pedo State - I think the university got off way to easy for covering up crimes against children to win football games.

But Ohio State, their players, coaches, administration and fans have no integrity if they accept a playoff bid over a team they agreed
Was their superior.

Now- Ohio State vs. Washington, Clemson or even Alabama I'd have no problem with them getting in ahead over any of those teams. An ACC championship doesn't mean anything in regard to whether an out of conference team is better.

TL/DR - conference championships should trump everything else with teams IN the same conference.

Just another factor when comparing teams from different conferences.

They had the best record in the country and the 9th toughest schedule, and TCU had a worse record and the #64 SOS, so obviously margin of victory played a factor in there if the composite had them in the top 4. There's nothing wrong with TCU's exclusion and FSU's inclusion, nor vice versa.

I think every team in the playoff deserves to be there. I just don't think the committee would've put a team like Wisky in if they were in Ohio State's shoes.
Prove it.

That link doesn't include yesterdays games but the top 4 is

Alabama
Michigan
Ohio St
Clemson

So to answer your question I guess Washington doesn't belong.

I'd be interested in seeing why a computer would have Washington out. In the Massey Composite, 86 of the 100 systems have Washington in.
