Which NBA Franchise without a title will win one first?

Phoenix Suns
Los Angeles Clippers
Utah Jazz
Denver Nuggets
Brooklyn Nets
Indiana Pacers
Orlando Magic
Minnesota Timberwolves
Charlotte Hornets
Memphis Grizzlies
Toronto Raptors
New Orleans Pelicans
Oklahoma City Thunder (Franchise technically won 1 in Seattle in '70s but obviously no one counts this for OKC)
Atlanta Hawks
Sacramento Kings
I'll say:
1.) Toronto Raptors - Very impressed with their front office and their moves. If they can keep this roster in tact for a few years, I think they can jump Lebron finally and get to the Finals.
2.) LA Clippers - CP3 is cursed but if they re-sign BG to pair with Jordan, this team will not be far off. Plus they have a very supportive owner that is going to spend as needed. Plus, the longer the Lakers suck, the more likely it is LAC becomes the destination of choice for top free agents wanting to play in LA.
3.) OKC Thunder - Bit of a homer pick here obviously, but if they are finally able to convince a top free agent to come play alongside Russ, Adams, Oladipo, they will be right back in the elite mix of title talks of the WC. Not to mention this squad is extremely young. At least some of the following will mature and improve moving forward putting the organization in great shape if they sign Russ to a long term deal: Domantas Sabonis (20), Jerami Grant (22), Steven Adams (23), and Alex Abrines (23)
Honorable mentions: Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz
Edit: Added Atlanta and Sac. Kings

Need to add Atlanta to the mix. No one in Atlanta cares that St.Louis Hawks won a championship in 1958.

Damn the NBA has no parity

I wouldn't mind seeing the Suns pull it off even though it's unlikely. Used to pull for them in the past.

Sweet but that doesn't answer the question

For real. I never realized this. That's a shite ton of franchises to never win.
For comparison sake..
NFL: 13/32 have never won, only 4 of those 13 have never been to a Super Bowl
MLB: 8/ 30 have never won a World Series

suns - had their chance
clippers - won't with CP3 showing age, SAS and GSW will dominate for some time
Jazz - building a very young core, they are trending up and gobert isn't even in his prime yet
nuggets - not close
nets - not close
pacers - had their chance
magic - not close
pups - they have a good young core, but they need to start winning. if they're smart, they start trading that pick+piece (Lavine, Rubio, Wiggins) for a part that works better.
hornets - nah
grizz - had their chance
raptors - best or 2nd best chance to surpass cleveland, good front office decisions
pelicans - nope
thunder - nope, had their shots...KD took it with them
hawks - nah had their shot
kings - had their chance
1. Raptors
2. Jazz
3. Timberwolves

I don't think you can look at current rosters and that sort of thing.
You have to look at the ownership situation. Teams with strong owners willing to spend whatever takes, with progressive ideas on the way the game changes, will win championships or get close.
The Clips have the best ownership of that group as far as I know, so I'll say them.

Using current rosters:
Indiana Pacers --- perennial contender have been close before
Minnesota Timberwolves - one of the best young rosters KAT and Wiggins all stars for years to come
Utah Jazz --- young roster. built on character, not superstars.
Raptors have been excluded as Lebron still owns the East

I mean, does a healthy young roster not play in to it at all?
Because from ownership standpoint the 3 teams I listed are damn strong and willing to spend money.

Uh...Lebron has been to the finals 5 straight years. That streak will continue for at least a few more.

Last 20 seasons have made playoffs 14 times.
Lost in Finals (1)
Lost in East Finals (5)

If I had to pick one team there it would be the Wolves.

It is so rare for teams to win titles in the NBA. It is usually the same teams over the course of multiple years, again and again that get to the Finals.
I'm looking at the long game. Ownership definitely matters when it comes to sustained success and winning titles.

I won a title for the Pels on 2k, so you can remove them

I'm confused as to how you have an Eastern Conf. team in your list (Indiana) but claim LBJ continues to own the East...

The Timberwolves could add another top 3-5 pick in a loaded draft class to pair with KAT and Wiggins, two players who look like future superstars.
They have to get consideration.
