This week, you've got

USC vs. Texas
Tennessee vs. Florida

And the biggest game of the week is Louisville vs. Clemson

for the 3rd week of college football, before a majority of the teams really start their conference schedule, that's not a terrible slate of games...

What do you think is missing for a week 3 lineup?

Louisville and Clemson have better coaches than the 4 you mentioned do at the moment.

Just because you were good a long time ago that doesnt mean you have a divine right to be good forever.

I think OP is referring to fact those match-ups would have been huge 10 years ago.

hell, life has gotten too busy to sit there and watch football nonstop and flipping through all of the various games. At this point, if there are 1 or 2 good games worth watching in addition to my team's game, then that's enough for me.

I'm pretty excited to see LSU take on an SEC team this week... will be a much better gauge of how good they are than BYU or Chattanooga.

This.

Tennessee-Florida was the game in the 90's.
Texas and USC had tremendous success from 2000-2009.

It's just odd seeing these games on the schedule and that they are hardly mentioned for the likes of Louisville vs. Clemson.

Programs don't stay powerhouses forever. Nobody on Tennessee's roster can even remember them being relevant. Florida hasn't had an offense in like 8 years. USC has had down years since Carroll left but they're still USC. Texas lol.
