It’s more than just the video but how much TM is like the actual honey badger (including the his hair at the time).
Animal Honey Badger wreaked havoc on the animal kingdom.
Man version wreaked havoc on the football field.
Right. Everything about the honey badger was exactly like tyrann mathieu. Small but wrecked shite and did all the work.

Pillsbury Throwboy, RIP, is the GOAT sports nickname.
That’s one of my favorites. Hefty Lefty is solid too. Dude had two high level nicknames.

Can’t believe nobody has said Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis on an LSU website. That’s another good one. Basketball has the best nicknames. One of my personal favorites is Dougie McBuckets.

The fat, lazy kid on my younger brother's travel ball team 20 years ago, who could hit like a mf'er... bonus points for being from Jaxon-ville... but Billy Butler as "country breakfast." Apparently was an MLB allstar one year.

TBH, its kind of pedestrian. Without the profile to keep the nickname in heavy circulation, its faded faster than a great nickname should.
Good start, no staying power.

All time? Not that high considering you've got all the great combat sports nicknames, as well.

The video that started it all. HB Don’t Care!

How has Nick Hayden not made this list?
Posted on 7/29/19 at 11:35 am to slackster
Tough list to compile, but The Honey Badger would be in my top percentile.

It's up there fo sho. Objectively awesome.
I'm partial to Manu Ginobili's Chinese nickname ("the demon blade").

Not in top ten. He is competing with Air Jordan/His Airness, Big Dick Nick, the Refrigerator, Big Hurt, Revis Island, the Big Unit, the Mailman, Black Mamba, Big Papi, Beast Mode, Run DMC, Megatron, and The Answer (in no certain order, but all better than HB). I'm sure I left out a lot too
Did you seriously just say Revis Island was a better nickname than the Honey Badger
