No, I don't think Harden can do a lot of what Bird did

I'm being as serious as humanly possible right now...

That video has caused me to think less of his game than I previously did.

ETA: There wasn't a single thing in that video that tons of players can and have done.

Bird always wanted the ball at the end of games. Lebron has passed it away more times than I can count.

I love his game. Just don't think he's half as good as people think.

Bird is without question the best all around NBA player of all time. His rebounding and defense are extremely understated.

Are old people retarded?

Bird

24.3 pts, 6.3 asst, 10reb, 49.6pct, 24.5 PER

Bron

27.1 pts, 7 asst, 7.1 reb, 50.0pct, 27.6 PER

I would say that Bird was a better three point shooter than Harden. Just Harden plays in a era that values it more so he ends up taking more.

But really to me Bird is one of the few guys whose presence just made teams elite, like LBJ. Not to sound too much like a casual fan but the Celtics were bad before him picked him and immediately started contending for titles. They lost him for a season and were two games above 500. They get him back the next year and win 50 games again and have home court in the first round.

I'm not exactly sure but you're probably right.

But have you seen the man dribble? No way in hell he's creating his own shot from behind the line. To me it looks like his moves would only work against that slow arse stiff af flat footed bullshite defense I always see him going against.

It was the 84-85 year where he had his best year statistically. He averaged a double-double. They lost to the Lakers, but he had a great year.

Bird is not as good as Lebron. I would never argue that lol. But, Bird is a top 5 player of all time. Those Boston teams were incredible along with the Lakers. Very fun to watch back then.

Most three point makes are assisted anyway today. Take Curry for example. Last year over half his makes from three were off of an assist

I understand. But Curry is still amazing at getting his own 3. And I assume he'd be much better at it than Bird. I believe Harden would be as well.

When he was helping reinventing the NBA with Magic in the 80's he was top 5... Overall..He fits in a category like NO other player...............
