This has to be coup de Gras tho no matter what his contract states. If they continue to let a mentally deficient person like Orgeron keep running the program it will kill the school.

It's extremely painful. And at least half the fan base has known since November.
It has been a slow, drawn out death since then. Hopefully it ends in November and doesn't extend further. There will be LSU donors that pony up if the rest of the season continues as it has the past few games.
The 12 million dollar buy out is absolutely mind blowing. What the frick kind of leverage did O have to warrant that? And how incompetent of an AD do you need to be to give that? I mean I'm not the smartest guy in the world but how the frick do you allow that?!?!? If JA can run an athlete department any bum off the street could.

No doubt. Joe isn't qualified to hire a fricking junior high coach. Much less another head fb coach at LSU.
His first huge mistake was not firing Les in 2015. He let the A&M game cloud his mind. He easily could have had Herman then. He almost went to South Carolina after that season.

Alleva was protecting himself with the buyout. He knew if the buyout was small and O got fired this season that would mean he'd be gone too. So he spikes the buyout to all but ensure O gets at least 2 seasons
