What's the point of an elevated court at the final four?

I would guess to make sure it's completely flat.

Sight lines in bigger arenas

I like elevated floors hated that Purdue took theirs out.

The backlash will be epic when a player dives for the ball and breaks his neck.

Vandy's doesn't bother me neither does Minnesota's.

I'm waiting for a team to have real throw back night and put up a cage around the court like they used to do.

You're waiting for someone to break their neck?

If someone is under 30, should they remember cage basketball? Because I don't.

They stopped it in the 30's I thought. But they used to have nets around the courts in arenas. That's why you had old school writers and SID's call the players Cagers.

Umass's old arena when Cal was there was called Mullen Cage. Part of the reason ULL was the last official game there.

This is correct. If u would be looking underneath the court you would notice the the bottom stands would have a curve to it like all football fields do

Indoor stadium fields don't have crowns.
