Tulane Safety Devon Walker against Tulsa in 2012.

Helmet to helmet hit that fractured his spinal cord, he stopped breathing on the field and wound up paralyzed from the neck down. He may never walk again. That was easily the most terrible sports injury I've ever witnessed

I was going to mention Jacques Green dislocating his hip but yeah this poor goalie pretty much ends the thread
