Ware, Theismann, Napoleon McCallum. All pretty equally gruesome. McCallum's was the worst.

Anderson Silva for me, I was watching live and my chin hit the floor. Was also watching the Louisville game live for Ware's, it's an extremely close second.

I wrestled in high school, and was wrestling this kid who had braces.
Well, I moved my arm across his face and quickly moved back for positioning, and then the referee started blowing the whistle. I look at my arm, and had blood all over.
Looked over and some how the kids braces got locked and ripped a lot of his teeth out and they were just hanging on the braces

Who's that hockey goaltender who got his throat slit by the blade of a skate? That was easily the most gruesome injury I've ever seen. There was blood everywhere.

The team medic who saved his life by reaching into his open throat and manually pinching off his aorta from bleeding was a combat medic in Vietnam. Pretty cool story.
