My PR was a 52.4 split in the Mile Relay

1,600 (or 1 mile) best 5:03. Ran all 4 years of HS and Cross Country.

Also ran the 800, 2 mile, and one year our team was so bad they had me run a leg of our 4x400 relay.

I wouldn't win crap, but I'd have the best chance at 5000M.

Anybody who can run a sub 6 minute mile is impressive to me, I had zero endurance.

I could run 100m with almost anyone growing up but after 200m I was pretty much toast.

Did not win anything but my relay team sure made people laugh. Our football coach made us do track to stay in shape. Me and three other linemen were forced to run the 4 X 400 relay. We were dubbed the "Fat Man Relay". The only thing we won was the hearts of our adoring fans.

Our couch did that with some players but they ran the 4 by 1 relay

I would have preferred the shorter distance - less time for people to laugh at us and less time to fall behind the rest of the runners.

I occasionally ran 400 and did the long jump but I mostly ran 1600 and 3200 meters.

I didn't include my mile relay splits because I didn't run it enough, but my best there was a high 49, low 50.

Why are you running 100 yard races when everyone else us running 100 meter races?

To be fair, back in the day, they used to run the 100 yard dash. And PJ is old...

I was a mileage hog in high school but unfortunately track didn't suit guys like me. I did far better in cross. In my later years I hit mid 35s for 10k, but I wasn't even near my high school shape.
