Just a big hypothetical thought.
If we threw 10 average TD posters in a Track and Field meet, all in their athletic prime (19-20 for those who didn't participate in sports after High School), Which Track and Field Event would you have the best chance of winning?

100 metres
200 metres
400 metres
800 metres
1500 metres
5000 metres
10,000 metres
Marathon
110 metres hurdles
400 metres hurdles
3000 metres steeplechase
20 km walk
50 km walk
High jump
Pole vault
Long jump
Triple jump
Shot put
Discus throw
Hammer throw
Javelin throw
Decathlon

Curious to see some of the answers....

Yeah but more OT Legends visit the MSB than the Olympics Board, and this is not an Olympic Specific topic.

If you think that this thread should be on the Olympics Board RA it and we will let them make that decision, won't hurt my feelings.

I could throw the shite out of a discuss in high school...anything having to do with running or jumping would be a no.

I could probably throw a javelin too but never got hold of one in high school because it wasn't an event where I went.

I would have to say high jump. Without any training I cleared 6'5 3/4. My track coached begged me to get on the team, but I was in love with basketball. My biggest mistake in high school.

I saw a suggestion yesterday that said the Olympics should have one average person compete in every event as a point of reference of just how incredible the things some of these athletes are doing really are.
